Baking Flop
I haven't baked in the longest time. Used to bake much during my uni days, where I experimented with making almond cookies, choc chip cookies and blaklava etc. Was pretty good back then.
My attempt at baking brownies today was rather a flop. The oven was probably too hot and it didn't help that it wasn't a fan-forced oven, so the heat is not evenly spread out. Big mistake to keep taking the tray out and putting it back in. Bad bad mistake.... tsk.
End result - Unevenly baked brownies - rock hard upper crust and chewy soft centre. Blahh :(
The unsightly brownies are cooling off now. Maybe they will look better after a while??
I should just stick to baking cookies next time round, if I ever put my baking act together, again.
Hmm, I am thinking twice about bringing my unsightly and yucky brownies to dinner tonight.
That wouldn't quite make a good impression, would it? :\ Argh, why am I feeling all jittery and nervous? Its only a dinner.......... I'm going for dinner, not being served as dinner. Relax relax!
