Weekend Glutton
Yup, that's exactly how I would describe myself this weekend. Just came home from a very long chinese dinner. 6 course dinner over 2.5 hours. Totally stuffed.. again!!
The food was so good. We had some double boiled sharkfin ginseng abalone soup, foie gras, pan fried cod fish, grilled venison, lobster, crab meat fried rice, pumpkin, greens etc ... and a very lovely avocado walnut ice cream desert! Totally awesome :)~
Its not your typical chinese style dinner. The usual chinese way of eating is where everyone tuck in to the same common dish placed strategically at the centre of a very big round table. At this Cherry Garden, they serve you the individual portion, ala western style. The portions of your fish, abalone, prawns etc were pre-determined at the kitchen and not divided at the dining table. Minus the chopsticks fighting and lunging forward to take your food, this dining style is certainly a whole lot more enjoyable! :)
