W is for Woof

Sometimes I hate it when you put me down or dismiss something that means something to me, ever so quickly.

So much so that I dread sharing bits and pieces of my life with me, however minute they may be.

I had a successful presentation and my report was pretty well received. I wanted to tell you but I just couldn't bring myself to.. for fear of being belittled by your callous remarks.

I donned a pretty pair of earrings handmade by a friend and showed them to you eagerly. Of all things which you could say, you chose to say how funny they look dangling and sitting almost on my shoulder. I wanted to tell you how sweet looking and how much I like them but I swallowed those words back.

I eagerly showed you my CNY apparel and you took one careless look and turned your glance away. Two words were what you could afford.. 'not bad' ... right i guess you probably thought i would go for some obsence and gawky looking clothes to wear for the new year. I bet the next time I wear that, you wouldn't remember your two-word comment on it.

It would be nice if you could pay a bit more attention to things which matter to me, even if its just sometimes.

I coloured my hair back to black today! Was sick of the black crown, brown mid-bottom look. So I enlisted the help of my self proclaimed colourist aka mumsy.

Heh.. I am not used to seeing black hair on me. Weird-looking. Oh and that coupled with my new haircut kinda give me a different look for the new year!

"My hair is all black now!"
"Does it look fake?? Most dyed black hair look fake"

....... I give up!

Someone at work passed me an angpow today. And horrors of it all, that ang pow is meant for my puppies!

He came over to my desk and said he got an angpow for my kids. "HUH?!" was my immediate reaction. I have kids?

Aww, inside the angpow was a doggy bone all wrapped and he even wrote Nana and Ying Ying at the back of the red packet.

He's only seen their photos and already he's mesmerised by them. Just wait till he meets them in person.

Haha!

And if I don't blog before the Chinese New Year, here's me wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Lunar New Year! Eat more bakwas and pineapple tarts! 'Tis the season to eat, drink, merry and grow fat!
