Post-soccer Monday blues
Went to work slightly zonked this morning after managing only 4 hours of sleep. Thank God for caffeine, else I would probably just collapse at my table into slumberland. heh.
We got our expensive designer chairs today at work. The old ones were actually pretty decent. And where I work, your seniority is (was, with these new chairs now) vividly demonstrated in the type of chairs you are assigned to. For junior staff like moi, we get chairs without arm rest. Then its chairs with arm rest, bigger chairs with arm rest and finally leather chairs with neck and arm rest! So next time if you get a chance to visit big companies, look at the different type of chairs around.
Anyway back to the NEW chairs.. they are supposed to be ergonomical and good for spinal support blah blah.. and can you believe this? These new chairs costs about 2 grand each at retail price??! I think we got them at a heavily dicounted rate because we bought in BULK.. like 300-400 pieces i heard. Imagine that - that's probably where our bonus went. Then again, if they can buy us these chairs, it means we are doing well this year?? *waits in anticipation for a big fat bonus*
For those who are wondering the fate of the abandoned chairs, they are being sold to us staff at dirt-cheap price to raise funds for charity. I 'upgraded' myself by purchasing a chair with arm rest at 20 bucks. What a bargain! :) cheep cheep!! that's the way I like it, ahm hahm ahm hahm. *grins*
