Snippets of the weekend

Sunday

My baby girl is now a lady!!!

You see, she had her gush of redness on sunday afternoon and was dotting red spots all over the mattress.

I was out of the house when my sis 'sos' me on the handphone breaking the news that we have a menstruating puppy at home! And also to ask me to buy doggy sanitary pads.

So I did, and my Nana is all wrapped up now. She has the perpetual "do I have to wear this?" look on her face and loves to be cajoled. She is also restless and lackadaisical.

Sigh, I understand that, my dear princess, its like this when you have the time of the month ok. *hugs hugs*

I'm considering if I want to sterilise her. Any thoughts?

Saturday

We decided to make a trip to our neighbouring country for some car accessories fixing and some shopping.

Didn't do any major shopping except for some nit-knacks like archie magazines (very cheap, a package 1 double digest plus 1 single digest for RM8.95!!) and some hair accessories.

Lunch was at some Jap restaurant which was pretty yummy (in fact it was so good that i didn't forgot to snap any photos of them!) and we gobbled them all up when they arrive!

Us at the Jap Restaurant in City Square, JB

What can I say? My bf loves to put up 'act cute' poses! Haha! :D

Friday

After dinner at the Raffles Marina Club, we headed down to this mango dessert outlet in town (just next to Thai Embassy)

OMG! It is so so so so SO yummy!

Fang, we must go there sometimes. I think this is like the best mango dessert in town.

Then again, its quite pricey. $7.50 for 1 bowl of mango pudding, BUT mango cubes soaked in mango puree and topped with a scoop of home-made mango icecream!! ;)~ I'm salivating already..

Weeks ago, I had my first attempt at mango pudding and look how mine greatly pales in comparison with the above.. hehe

Ren/ Pam - looks pretty decent ya? :D

Video-licious!

Visited pammy's xanga just now and saw how she managed to host videos! Cool bananas!

So this is the video I took of Nana on her day 1 at home; courtesy of Jones the trusty digicam! :D

Ok, more videos shall be on the way! Hee

Pup Talk

The pups at home went for grooming yesterday and are now looking botak!

And its funny how much skinnier they look now, especially Ying.
She is looking all scrawny and tiny now!

This darling baby is the sweetest. I wasn't feeling tops last night and she seemed to know. She usually sleeps outside in the living halls with Nana. But I took her to bed with me last night.. She was licking my face all around in her little ways of comforting and soothing me to sleep as she cuddled herself next to me.

And here's the before and after grooming photos of Nana.

This is the princess of the house (she obviously knows her place in the doggy resident hierarchy at home) who is always snatching toys away from Ying even though she has already been give one toy to play with.

But you can tell how closer these two pups have become. Just this morning when Nana noticed that Ying's missing, she started scratching my door wanting to be let in and started kissing Ying the moment she sees the little darling.

And the 3 of us just plonked back to bed and not getting up till another 3 hours later! ;)

I love my puppies! :)

...and methinks they are far less complex / troublesome than guys..

Not happy

Just came back from a company's party and I am typing this in my drunken stupor.

I am not happy.

Ha!

The colleague who got my dogs a bone actually told me in a roundabout way that he fancies me.

Right!

I'm so tired. Alcohol makes me sleepy.

And I cried in the taxi while talking to my bf.

Can life be any simpler?

All's ok

Sorry for the lack of updates these days. Been really swamped at work and the last thing I want to do is to stare at the computer screen when I get back home.

Thank you all for your concern about my grandma.

She's doing ok now, and will probably be discharged in a few days' time.

She was admitted because of a heart attack which had complications because of water retention. As a result, her body was bloated and she lost all appetite & vomitted continously.

The doc wanted to operate on her but just days before the operation, they found a complication in her gastric which hindered the going-ahead of the operation.

Good news is when doctor checked on her yesterday, he found that the water retention has gone down significantly and her heart condition is more stabilised. But he wants to keep her under observation for a few more days.. if all goes well, she should be discharged soon!
